- Very enjoyableThis game was developed by Kheops, not Nobilis as another review had said. I've been a big fan of Kheops games for several years, esp Return to Mystery Island (my favorite) - so I was really looking forward to this game.
It was well worth the wait - the graphics were really good, the movement smooth and fluid, and great music. I found the puzzles to be not too difficult - challenging enough to make you work and think, but not so hard to be frustrating. They were all very logical and straight forward. I enjoy playing adventure games because I like poking around alternate worlds, and less for puzzle solving. So, this game provided a good balance for me.
My only complaint with this game is that it was too short. But, I will take a high quality game that's too short over a lousy, long game any day of the week!
Overall, I really enjoyed this game and can't wait for the next releases from Kheops.
- Awesome!First of all, the title was a grabber! I had read Treasure Island and loved the characters right away, so I knew this game was going to be a winner! I was very pleased with the graphics as I got into the game itself. The movement was very smooth and not comical in its use as well. Getting around was easy too and even better after I had the map in my possession.(Instant transportation was a real time saver!) Solving the puzzles was not too difficult and finding the items to complete a few of them, was not that hard either. My only complaint, is that the creators did save the best puzzle for the last. It was just getting good and then the endgame started up-awwww!
I was left with wanting more!! I am hoping to see more of this series from the very creative and imaginative people who work at NOBILIS.
Thank you for letting me share. Bye now.
- OK For Kids I GuessThis game reminds me of the movies that Disney used to make years ago. Pirates, buried treasure, villains, boy, girl, smart parrot. That's about it. The graphics are good. Sound is fine. Puzzles are mostly of the inventory type, except the last puzzle which requires you to decipher Mayan symbols and push many buttons. This puzzle may take as long to solve as playing the rest of the game.
While this is not a bad game, I doubt that it will hold the interest of many adults.
- Great game! Kids loved it too!We really liked this game. It was short but not too short and easy enough that the kids could figure it out without me. It was humorous and the helps during the game kept it moving along.
- Finally a really great game!I am very picky when it comes to games and this is probably the best in a very long time. Everything was logical and although some puzzles took some thinking, they made sense and were actually enjoyable to solve. Had some similarities to Return to Mysterious Island, but in my opinion was much more fun and more logical. Great storyline! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
